The Wrath of Mother Nature

Taking a large collection of data, I set out to create a narrative from it. Natural disasters have wreaked havoc on the united states. There have been a total of 963 natural disasters over the course of 110 years, ranging from 1900 to 2010. The data looked at includes floods, wild fires, hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, and tornadoes. These storms have been the cause of 26,679 documented deaths, an estimated $377,994,335,000 billion in damage, and an incalculable amount of people affected. I create both a infographic book and interactive website using the information I pulled from my data set.

In the end the question was:
Is anyone safe from mother nature?
